A — Admissions & eligibility

Each sheet in the programme ledger states its own entry requirement — ITI, diploma, engineering degree, any graduate, or working engineer. Beyond that we look at the diagnostic rather than at your marks. We have taken learners with weak grade sheets who could think on a bench, and turned away learners with excellent ones who could not.

Three hours at a bench with a problem and no multiple choice. It is not pass or fail — it decides which layer of the stack you start at. Some learners skip the Foundation layer entirely on the strength of it; others are placed a layer lower than they expected, which is uncomfortable and correct. Where a programme is oversubscribed the diagnostic also decides seat allocation.

Full-Stack Engineering and Data & Analytics take any graduate, and both start from a Foundation layer that assumes nothing. The hardware and controls sheets — embedded, automation, CAD/CAM — need a technical qualification, because the lab work is not safe to learn from zero in the time available.

Cohorts are capped — between 16 and 24 for the technical sheets — with one instructor and one lab technician. The cap is not a marketing device; it is the number of benches. Cohorts open monthly, subject to reaching a minimum size. Ask at enquiry for the next date on the sheet you want.

Only in the first week, and only if the diagnostic puts you above the layer already covered. After that you would be working on an unset layer, which is the one thing the whole method is built to avoid. We would rather hold your seat for the next cohort.

B — Programmes & delivery

Hardware and controls sheets run on-site at our lab, with plant visits where the sheet says so. Software sheets run as a studio, hybrid: taught sessions can be attended remotely, critique and review are in the room. Corporate cohorts usually run at the client's own site on their own equipment.

Around six contact hours a day. Roughly a third taught, a third at the bench or in the editor, a third critique — your work on the screen, in front of the room, being taken apart. There is a submission every week and it is reviewed every week.

Taught sessions are recorded and available for the duration of the programme. Critique sessions are not, because people speak freely in them. Recordings do not count towards the 80% attendance requirement in clause 06 of the terms — watching is not attending.

A laptop, yes, for every sheet; the specification is sent with the offer. Boards, instruments, panels and machines are ours and stay in the lab. Where a kit is issued to you to keep, it is itemised in the fee breakdown — and it affects a refund, under clause 05 of the refund policy.

Unstructured bench access with a technician present and nothing scheduled. No brief, no submission — you build the thing you have been wondering about, and break it. In our experience this is where competence actually forms, so we protect the hours rather than filling them with more taught content.

Cloud & DevOps Practice is designed for it — remote, with lab hours in the evening. The rest are not part-time programmes and we will say so at enquiry rather than take a fee you are going to lose. For teams, a closed cohort scheduled around your shift pattern is usually the better answer.

C — Fees, payment & refunds

Two different things are priced two different ways. A course on the Skillifyedu platform carries its price on the course card — the catalogue runs from ₹999 to ₹49,999, plus a ₹500 platform fee and 18% GST. An instructor-led programme from the ledger is quoted in writing in your offer, broken into registration, tuition, lab and materials, and any examination component, as set out in Schedule A of the refund policy. Write to contact@skillifyedu.com for a current quote on any sheet.

Yes on most sheets; the schedule is stated in the offer. A seat is held while instalments are current. Note clause 08 of the refund policy: if you withdraw, the amount retained is calculated on the whole fee, not on what you have paid so far, so a balance can be payable.

A limited number per cohort, decided on the diagnostic and on need, and an institutional rate where you come through a partner college. Ask before you pay — a concession cannot be applied retrospectively. A scholarship conditional on completion is forfeited on withdrawal.

There is a cooling-off window — seven days from payment, or before the end of the second session, whichever is earlier — in which you get everything back except issued kit and gateway charges. After that, refunds follow the schedule in clause 04 of the refund policy. Before you withdraw, ask about a deferral: one deferral to the next cohort is free before the end of week 4.

D — Assessment & certification

By build and defence. You submit something that works — a node that boots, a cell that runs, a service in production, a machined part — and then answer questions on it from someone who knows how it should have been done. There is no multiple choice and no grade curve.

One re-attempt within the cohort, at no charge, with the specific gaps written down so you know what to fix. A second re-attempt, or one after the cohort has closed, is charged at the published re-assessment rate. Failing does not create a refund — see clause 11 of the refund policy.

It is our certificate: it states the sheet, the contact hours, the assessment you passed and the build you defended. It is not a university degree and we do not present it as one. Where a sheet leads to a third-party certification, that examination and its fee are separate and are named in the sheet. Employers who know us tend to ask about the build, not the certificate.

Yes. Every certificate carries a verification reference, and we will confirm it to a genuine enquirer for as long as the register exists — which is permanently, per the retention schedule in clause 08 of the privacy policy. That is also why a certificate register entry cannot be erased on request.

E — Placement

No. We provide placement support and we are precise about the difference — clause 08 of the terms sets it out. Nobody here has authority to promise you employment, a salary or a number of interviews. If a training provider guarantees you a job, read what they mean by it.

Portfolio review, interview practice with engineers rather than trainers, introductions to hiring partners who are recruiting at the time, and a follow-up at three, six and twelve months after you exit. It is open to learners who completed the programme, met attendance, passed the assessment, cleared fees, and opted in to profile sharing.

The share of learners placed within six months of exit, counted across cohorts that closed at least twelve months ago. It is historical and aggregate, it is stated on the page to be indicative and subject to audit, and it is not a representation about your outcome. Ask us for the cohort-by-cohort breakdown and we will send it.

No. There is no placement fee, no income-share agreement and no deduction from your salary. The fee is for the programme, and it is not conditional on an outcome in either direction.

F — Institutions & industry

With a visit and a curriculum mapping exercise against current hiring briefs, which usually takes two weeks and produces a written gap report. From there it is a semester-long engagement: embedded programmes for pre-final year, faculty development on your own equipment, placement drives, and an annual audit reported to your management.

Yes, and it is the most common industry engagement: a skill gap assessment on your own stack, then a cohort scheduled around shift patterns, taught on your equipment and your codebase. Terms are set in a statement of work — clause 13 of the terms — and cancellation follows that agreement rather than the consumer refund schedule.

Yes — specification, procurement support, commissioning and the training of the people who will run it. We have no reseller relationship with any equipment vendor, so the specification is written for the syllabus rather than for a catalogue.

G — Records & privacy

Your trainer, the lab technician and accounts, on a need basis. Hiring partners see your profile only after you opt in. A sponsoring college or employer sees attendance, progress and completion. Your work stays yours — we keep a copy for assessment and verification, and we may show it with attribution unless you tell us not to. Clauses 05 and 10 of the privacy policy and clause 10 of the terms.

Yes, for anything we no longer need and no law requires us to keep, and you can withdraw consent for placement sharing at any time. Two exceptions: the certificate register, which must stay verifiable, and financial records, which carry a statutory retention period. Write to us at the address in clause 14 of the privacy policy.

H — Skillifyedu, the online platform

Skillifyedu is our online platform — a catalogue of 180+ courses you buy and take yourself, at your own pace, with a certificate at the end. A programme from the ledger is a scheduled cohort with a trainer, a bench and a defence. Same method, different delivery. The full specification is on the product sheet, and the platform is at skillifyedu.com.

Courses run from ₹999 to ₹49,999. At checkout the platform adds a ₹500 platform fee and 18% GST on the total — so a ₹15,000 course comes to ₹18,290. Payment is by credit card, debit card, UPI or net banking, and a payment usually reflects within 24 to 48 hours.

Lifetime access to the materials, an industry-certified completion certificate, one-to-one mentorship sessions, career placement assistance and round-the-clock community support. Every course card carries a video preview, so you can see the teaching before you pay. Placement assistance is support, not a job guarantee — the same position as Q20.

Platform purchases follow the platform's own refund policy, not the schedule in clause 04 here: full refund before the course starts, then a tapering scale — 50% inside week 1 with two or fewer sessions attended, 20% after a week, 10% after two weeks, nil once you have opened more than 10% of the content. Approved refunds are processed within 45 days, less gateway charges, and access to the course is withdrawn when one is approved. Clause 14 of the refund policy sets it out in full.

Take the assessment on the platform — four questions, about five minutes, free. It asks your field of interest, education level, academic record and target salary band, and recommends a course. It is a starting point, not a gate: nothing is withheld on the strength of your answers.

Yes — the platform has creator accounts alongside learner accounts, opened through Sell on Skillify. You must hold the rights to everything you upload. Revenue share, payout schedule, content standards and takedown are set in the creator agreement issued when your account is approved — write to contact@skillifyedu.com for a copy before you record anything.

The platform support desk is open 10:00 to 18:00 IST on working days, excluding public and national holidays. Courses and support are delivered in English.
