These terms

  1. These terms govern the relationship between Skill Link Tech Private Limited (“SLT”, “we”), GSTIN 33AAKCR3399G1Z2, registered office O. No. 25, N. No. 36, Chakrapani Street Extension, Rangarajapuram, Kodambakkam, Chennai 600024, Tamil Nadu, India, and you.
  2. They apply when you enrol on a programme, when you use this website, and when you engage us as an institution or a company, except where a signed agreement between us says otherwise. Where a signed agreement conflicts with these terms, that agreement prevails for that engagement.
  3. By submitting an application or an enquiry, or by paying a fee, you accept these terms, the privacy policy and the refund policy, which are part of them.
  4. If you are under 18, a parent or lawful guardian must accept these terms on your behalf and is responsible for the fee.

Definitions

Programme
Any course, cohort, workshop or engagement we deliver, including those listed on the programme ledger on our home page.
Sheet
The published specification of a programme — its duration, contact hours, modules, mode of delivery, assessment and entry requirement.
Cohort
A batch of learners running a programme to a common schedule.
Learner
An individual enrolled on a programme, whether self-funded, sponsored by an institution, or nominated by an employer.
Fee
The total amount payable for a programme as set out in the offer, comprising the components identified in the refund policy.
Working day
Monday to Friday excluding public holidays at our place of delivery.

Eligibility and enrolment

  1. Each sheet states an entry requirement. Meeting it does not by itself entitle you to a seat; seats are limited and allocated on the diagnostic and on the order in which fees are received.
  2. Enrolment is complete only when we have issued a written offer, you have accepted it, and the first payment has cleared.
  3. You must give accurate information at application. Material misrepresentation — forged marksheets, a false work history, another person sitting your diagnostic — entitles us to cancel the enrolment with no refund, and to withdraw any certificate already issued.
  4. Where a programme requires a medical clearance for lab work, or a police verification because a client site requires it, enrolment is conditional on it.
  5. We may decline an application without giving reasons. Where we decline after payment, we refund in full.

Fees, taxes and payment

  1. Fees are those quoted in your offer. Fees quoted are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax unless stated otherwise; GST is charged at the rate applicable on the date of invoice, and invoices are issued under GSTIN 33AAKCR3399G1Z2.
  2. Where an instalment plan is offered, the schedule is set out in the offer. A seat is held only while instalments are current.
  3. Payment is by the methods stated on the invoice. Bank charges and payment gateway charges are borne by the payer.
  4. We may withhold access to the lab, the platform, an assessment or a certificate while a fee is overdue by more than fifteen days, after written notice.
  5. Scholarships, early payment discounts and institutional rates are applied at our discretion and on the conditions published with them.
  6. Refunds are governed entirely by the refund policy.

Conduct

  1. Work you submit must be your own. Collaboration is encouraged and must be declared; passing off another person's work, or work generated by a tool, as your own is not collaboration.
  2. Treat trainers, technicians, fellow learners and host staff with courtesy. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation and retaliation are grounds for immediate removal.
  3. Do not record a session, or photograph another learner's work, without the consent of everyone in it.
  4. Do not bring alcohol or intoxicants onto the premises, and do not enter a lab under their influence.
  5. Where a programme is delivered at a partner or client site, that site's rules apply to you in addition to these.

Attendance and assessment

  1. The minimum attendance for certification is 80% of scheduled contact hours, unless the sheet for your programme states otherwise.
  2. Assessment is by build and defence: you submit working artefacts and answer questions on them. There is no grade curve, and a submission that does not work is not passed because it was nearly finished.
  3. A failed assessment may be re-attempted once within the cohort, at no charge. A second re-attempt, or an attempt after the cohort has closed, is charged at the published re-assessment rate.
  4. Certificates are issued within twenty working days of a successful final assessment, subject to fees being clear. Each carries a verification reference we will confirm to a genuine enquirer for as long as the register exists.
  5. We may withdraw a certificate obtained by plagiarism, impersonation or misrepresentation, and inform anyone who has relied on it.

Laboratory safety

  1. You must complete the safety induction before your first bench session, and follow the instructions of the trainer and lab technician at all times.
  2. Wear the protective equipment specified for the task. Do not defeat an interlock, bypass a guard, or work on a live panel outside a supervised exercise.
  3. Report every incident, near miss and equipment fault immediately, however minor.
  4. You are responsible for loss or damage to equipment caused by your wilful act, negligence or breach of instruction, up to the cost of repair or replacement. Ordinary wear, and faults arising during a properly supervised exercise, are ours.
  5. Personal property brought onto the premises is at your own risk.

Placement support

Read this clause

We provide placement support. We do not offer, promise or guarantee employment, a salary, a number of interviews, or a job offer, and no member of our staff has authority to give such a promise on our behalf. Any figure we publish about past placement is a historical, aggregate statistic and is not a representation about your outcome.

  1. Placement support means portfolio review, interview practice, introductions to hiring partners who are recruiting at the time, and follow-up at three, six and twelve months after exit.
  2. Support is available to learners who have completed the programme, met the attendance requirement, passed the final assessment, cleared all fees and opted in to profile sharing under the privacy policy.
  3. Hiring decisions belong entirely to the employer. We have no control over their process, timing, criteria or offer.
  4. We may withdraw support where a learner repeatedly fails to attend arranged interviews, misrepresents their record to an employer, or behaves in a way that damages the relationship with a partner.
  5. Fees are for the programme delivered. They are not conditional on a placement outcome, and no refund arises from not being placed.

Our intellectual property

  1. Course material, slide decks, lab sheets, assessment briefs, starter repositories, the site, the name Skill Link Tech, the SLT mark and the logo are our property or licensed to us.
  2. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the material for your own learning for the duration of the programme and afterwards for your own reference.
  3. You may not copy, republish, resell, upload to a public repository or a paid course platform, or use our material to train a commercial model or deliver training to others, without our written permission.
  4. We monitor for this and will enforce it.

Your work

  1. You own the work you produce on a programme, apart from any part of our starter material embedded in it, which stays ours under clause 09.
  2. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to keep a copy of your submissions for assessment, moderation and verification, and to show your work — with attribution — in a portfolio review, a critique session with a later cohort, or a case study, unless you tell us in writing not to.
  3. Where a programme is run for a company on that company's problem and data, work product may belong to that company under the engagement agreement. Where that is the case, you will be told before the module begins and asked to sign the confidentiality terms that go with it.

Changes to a programme

  1. Sheets are revised twice a year against live hiring briefs. The sheet in force for you is the one issued with your offer.
  2. We may change a trainer, reschedule a session, or change the mode of a session between on-site and remote where circumstances require it. We will give as much notice as we can.
  3. If we make a change that materially reduces what the sheet promised — a significant cut in contact hours, or removal of a core module — you may withdraw and receive a pro-rata refund of tuition for the part not delivered.
  4. We may postpone the start of a cohort that does not reach its minimum size, or cancel it. Clause 07 of the refund policy applies.

Suspension and exit

  1. We may suspend or terminate your enrolment for a serious or repeated breach of clause 05 or clause 07, for non-payment after notice, or for misrepresentation.
  2. Except where the breach is one that endangers a person or equipment, we will put the concern to you in writing and give you a fair opportunity to respond before we terminate.
  3. Termination for cause carries no refund. Your obligations of confidentiality and the intellectual property terms survive it.
  4. You may withdraw at any time by writing to us. The refund that follows is determined by the refund policy.

Institutional and corporate engagements

  1. Training partnerships, closed cohorts, lab commissioning and faculty development are delivered under a separate written agreement or statement of work, which sets out scope, schedule, acceptance, fees and payment terms.
  2. Where that agreement is silent, these terms fill the gap.
  3. The institution or company is responsible for the accuracy of the learner data it gives us, for the suitability of any site or equipment it provides, and for the consents needed for us to hold data about its people.
  4. Neither party may use the other's name or marks in publicity without written consent, which we will not withhold unreasonably.

Use of this website

  1. The site is provided as it stands. We take care over the information on it, but programme details, figures and dates may change, and nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance.
  2. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, probe it, scrape it at a rate that degrades it, or submit anything unlawful through the enquiry form.
  3. Figures shown on the home page under Measures are indicative and are stated to be subject to audit.

Liability

  1. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Indian law.
  2. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of employment, loss of an offer, loss of earnings, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
  3. Subject to clause 15.1, our total liability arising out of a programme is limited to the fee actually paid to us for that programme.
  4. We are not liable for the acts, omissions or hiring decisions of a hiring partner, an institution, an employer or an examination body.

Indemnity

  1. You will indemnify us against loss we suffer arising from your breach of clause 05, clause 07 or clause 09, or from any claim by a third party caused by your wilful act or negligence on our premises or at a host site.

Force majeure

  1. Neither party is in breach for a failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control — including an act of God, epidemic, government order, civil disturbance, strike, fire, flood, or failure of power or telecommunications.
  2. Where such an event prevents delivery, we will first move the affected sessions online or reschedule them. Where it prevents delivery for more than sixty consecutive days, either party may terminate and clause 07 of the refund policy applies to the part not delivered.

How to reach us

  1. Raise anything about a running programme with your programme lead first — most things are settled in the room. Anything else, write to contact@skillifyedu.com or telephone +91 98840 81014, 10:00 to 18:00 IST on working days.
  2. By post: Skill Link Tech Private Limited, O. No. 25, N. No. 36, Chakrapani Street Extension, Rangarajapuram, Kodambakkam, Chennai 600024, Tamil Nadu, India.
  3. We acknowledge within two working days and aim to close within fifteen. You will be told the outcome and the reasoning in writing.

Governing law

  1. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
  2. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction, save that either party may seek urgent interim relief anywhere.
  3. Nothing here affects a consumer's right to approach a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

General

  1. If a clause is held unenforceable, the rest stands.
  2. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
  3. You may not assign your enrolment to another person. We may assign these terms to a successor of our business.
  4. There is no partnership, agency or employment between us.
  5. No third party may enforce these terms.
  6. We may amend these terms. The revision in force is the one shown in the control block at the head of this page; a material change is notified to enrolled learners and active partners directly. Amendments do not apply retrospectively to a cohort already running.
  7. These terms, the offer, the sheet, the privacy policy and the refund policy are the entire agreement between us for a programme.

The Skillifyedu platform

  1. Skillifyedu (skillifyedu.com) is our online learning platform, operated by Skill Link Tech Private Limited. A course bought on it is governed by these terms, by the privacy policy and by clause 14 of the refund policy, which deals with platform purchases specifically.
  2. Buying a course on the platform grants a personal licence to view that course. Downloading, redistributing, reselling or using course material for business or non-educational purposes ends access to the course, the support system and any certificate issued, and may be enforced against.
  3. The platform charges a platform fee and GST on top of the listed course price, shown in full before payment. Prices are in Indian rupees. If a payment fails but access is granted, the amount is payable within thirty days of notice, and access may be revoked until it is settled.
  4. The support desk operates 10:00 to 18:00 IST on working days, and courses and support are delivered in English.
  5. A creator who publishes a course to the platform warrants that they hold the rights to the material, grants us the licence needed to host and sell it, and is bound by the creator agreement issued when the creator account is approved. That agreement sets revenue share, payout schedule, content standards and takedown, and is available on request before you record anything.
  6. Career placement assistance offered with a platform course is support, not a promise of employment. Clause 08 applies to it in full.
  7. Invoices for platform purchases are issued by Skill Link Tech Private Limited under GSTIN 33AAKCR3399G1Z2.
